Ingredients
- 4 steaks of your choosing (recommend ribeye)
- 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground salt
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
- Rinse and pat the steaks dry with a paper towel.
- Coat with a small amount of olive oil, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Place in freezer-safe quart bag, and cook using the sous vide water bath method.
- For medium rare, cook at 131°F for 3 hours.
- For medium, cook at 140°F for 3 hours.
- For well done, cook at 155°F for 3 hours.
- Remove steaks from water bath, then sear (recommend using cast iron skillet or blow-torch for texture).
- If desired, pan-baste in butter, then serve!
